“Just got my stove turned oven on keeps smoking. Checked under oven there is white tape around hose should this be removed? Or leave it alone?”

Ours did the same thing on start up. Protective plastic and oils used in manufacture probable cause. We turned on the fan and it cleared up. No smoke after a few minutes.
