A:AnswerHello,
We manufacture several different models with various features and accessories to provide appliances that not only meet increasing government restrictions on energy and washer usage, but will be versatile in meeting the needs of our customers, and still providing the best performance our brands is known for. All of our appliances must meet certain criteria by the Department of Energy, and we cannot manufacture appliances if we do not meet their demands. Try adjusting the amount of detergent you are using. Current washers use less water, and using too much detergent will not allow the washer to rinse the clothing properly. Try to adjust the amount of detergent based on the clothing type, and cycle chosen. If you have whites or brights that have become dingy looking, wash them in the hottest water possible without using detergent. If you notice a difference, there could be too much detergent in the water, and it could be re depositing on the clothing, causing them to look dirty or unclean.
A:AnswerI was concerned about the value of the Maytag brand as well. I don't think the Maytag branded products of today can hold a candle to the Maytag washers and dryers I remember growing up with (I'm a baby boomer). In those days, Maytag made two things well: washers & dryers. I'm not sure if that company exists in any form today. What I do know about this Maytag branded product is that it is designed and assembled by Whirlpool Corporation in Benton Harbor, Michigan, USA! Whirlpool marketed one of the first HE top loading washing machines back around Y2K called the "Calypso" I owned the Kenmore Elite version of the Whirlpool design and had it for over 10 years with no major issues. If this Maytag is actually a Whirlpool design, that's fine with me. I hope this answer was helpful.
A:AnswerHi Honomichi23, we recommend if the lid will not unlock, either unplugging the unit or shutting it down at the breaker for 90 seconds to reboot the control panel. If you still have issues after that, you can schedule service online at the following link: http://bit.ly/3tuMnLt
A:AnswerI was told the same thing and now that seems to be untrue maybe. Can’t find a straight answer. I absolutely hate this washer. It does not get clothes clean at all.
A:AnswerIf you are using the oxi powder then put in drum before loading. They told me you can only use liquid oxi or other color safe bleach in the dispenser. I use it in the drum and works good.
