“Is it OK to use powder oxi cleen in the slot that says oxi and use a tide pod. Also, I”be been using non HE tide pods since we got our washer a week ago. Why is this an issue. Thank you”

Hello Papalady, no you would put anything powdered into the basket itself with the pod. As far as the detergent, HE High Efficiency detergent is specially formulated to work with low-water wash systems. Your washer uses less water than traditional machines. With less water, the wash action can create too much sudsing when regular detergent is used. With HE detergent, there will be significantly fewer suds produced. HE detergent provides the right amount of suds for the best performance in high-efficiency washers.
