There doesn't actually appear to be any way to remove the storage drawer. You referred me to page 13 of the instruction manual, but the front of the drawer doesn't lift up as the instructions describe. We purchased this gas range on the premise that this drawer was removable, because we wanted to be able to turn off the gas valve by reaching through the opening after the drawer was removed. Please try it yourself and then tell me exactly how it can be done.
