“Does this dryer come with the vent and/or power cord? I was checking out and the installation services said the necessary cord was sold seperately.”

It's sold separately. I was kind of shocked when it didn't come with one but I was able to use the cord from my old dryer.

Please try again later.you need to purchase the cord and vent hose separate..sometime around the year 2000 the government made it mandatory to have all dryers use a 4 prong cord but some older homes still have older power source using the 3 prong system..The instructions tell you how to hook up 3 prong outlet cords to the 4 prong system that all dryers have now.. you can still use the 3 prong cord as long as you follow the instructions in the manual..different wiring needed between 3 and 4 prong but both ways are shown in the owner manual on how to wire them each way..or you can change the wall outlet to accept the 4 prong cord if your home still has the 3 prong system to a 4 prong outlet..Call an electrician if you need to change the outlet at the wall because doing it yourself is dangerous unless you know how to do it without getting electrocuted..
