Probably cannot use the pedestal for a different washer and dryer, especially since it's a different manufacturer. Double check with an appliance sales person. When I replaced a 6-year-old Samsung washer with a new Samsung washer, the sales person told me I could use the same pedestal, but when the delivery people were removing the old machine, they took the whole washer/pedestal unit out. I protested and said I wanted to use the same pedestal. They showed me that the pedestal would not attach correctly to the new machine. Then I called Best Buy to complain about the misinformation the store employee had given me. I spent hours of frustration going around and around with Best Buy regarding the situation. Bottom line was that if I wanted the new washer on a pedestal, I had to buy a new pedestal. Just replaced the Samsung dryer with the Maytag dryer, and I bought the pedestal that comes with it. It seems that if you spend $200+ for a pedestal with no moving parts or electrical components, they should make the attachment parts universally compatible, but they apparently they do not. I guess it's part of the "Gotcha" sales business.
