• Yes! You are protected if you download a file from email. Our software checks for known malware and also for things that act like malware even if they have never been seen before. When you say "this type doesn't have email security" it is true it doesn't have a SPAM filter for your email. However, it checks every file that is introduced to your protected systems no matter how those are introduced. It will check a file you attempt to download from email for any suspicious behavior and quarantine it if it sees anything suspicious. Please let me know if I can help you with anything else.
