    • Answer There is a 25-digit code on a key card inside the box. Take that code to https://www.mcafee.com/activate to redeem it. Once you enter the code, you will need to setup an account with McAfee, but this only requires an email. It will ask you to sign up for auto-renewal, but this step is optional. You can click on the X in the upper right corner and skip that step. The installation should begin at that point. Please let me know if I can help with anything further.

    • Answer I can't provide you an exact answer - it varies. When you sign up for auto-renewal, the renewal price will be high compared to buying from Best Buy, when they are on promotion. By signing up for auto-renew, you receive benefits such as automatic enrollment in our Virus Protection Pledge which states that we will remove any virus or you get your money back (additional terms apply) and since renewal is automatic, you never have to worry about being unprotected. However, you can cancel auto-renew at any time, buy when Best Buy has it on sale, and then if you choose, you can always sign back up again for auto-renewal. I hope this helps you.
