Depending on locations of digital TV towers, the better the signal the more channels the unit will recognize and store.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Mediasonic Homeworx is a receiver/digital video recorder for free over the air (OTA) TV. An antenna is required. A $10 antenna with booster brings in 28 channels in West Fargo, ND. See photos. The quality of the recording relies on the strength of the signal. I bought Mediasonic Homeworx OTA DVR at Best Buy. It records and plays back. Good product at a low price.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It depends on your antenna. If your antenna picks up a lot of channels then the device will pick them up. I'm using a Terk UHF VHF DIRECTIONAL indoor antenna. I get all the local stations and the device also tunes them in perfectly so that I can watch or record them.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The signal will be generated by your antenna. I installed an amplifier on my antenna ( I placed the antenna on an outside wall of the house for greatest signal, and had to run several feet of coax to get to the TV) before. This unit did an outstanding job identifying Over The Air channels.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Depending on your reception area this box with a decent antenna will receive the channels available. I have two from different manufacturers and the unit that is in the second floor receives more channels than the one on the first floor with the same set top antenna - regardless of which box is up stairs. There is less house and fewer obstruction in the second floor so I assume that is why I get more channels in the second story room.
