“Will it allow me to pause Live TV using it as a pass through. If not can it be set up for continues recording and have it over write unprotected files?”

• Yes you can have Live pause TV, but NO, you will neee to manually delete the files in order for the unit to keep recording, or better yet get a hard disk drive of at least 500g, or a SD car of 256g they are not too expensive today
