“My Mediasonic hw-150PVR on timer recordings works sometimes and other times nothing. I watch the machine and it looks like its going to record and then stops and sends a error message. Acouple of times while watch it will stop and freeze up. whats up?”

could be the flash drive. I had same problem with an ooma brand flash drive switched to a scandisk brand rarely fails usually due to weak transmission signal maybe due to inclement weather causing a bit error in recording
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Are you using a USB drive or external hard drive? Even though is says it works with a USB drive I did not find one that worked reliably. The best bet is an external hard drive.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi Gary, So far, our Mediasonic seems to work fine, although when pressing various buttons on the remote, the action doesn't happen right away. We record our programs on a 2TB external hard drive - so far, no problems with recording or retrieving the recordings. For the price, it seems to be ok. I don't how what medium you record your programs to, but I hope this information helps. We don't have cable; we have an external antenna (regular channels) hooked up to the DVR. The only problem there is if there's a storm in the area that affects reception. - - Steve
