“I want to plug into wall outlet instead of using batteries. What adapter works with the Memorex portable CD player MPC600B? ( I saw several other similar questions, but no exact answer as to what adapter to use--only that it needs one.) Please help.”

You will need a 4.5 Volt adaptor. As long as it's 4.5 Volts, it will work.
