“My car does not have a cd player, but the radio does have Bluetooth and a usb outlet, {2020 VW Passat}. Will the radio find and pair to this portable player? If not, what product do you recommend that will allow me to play a cd through the car's radio.”

Yes it should pair with your Bluetooth radio. I've tried it with external Bluetooth speakers, it works very good. Try it you should be pleased.
