Do we still need a cable provider for internet? We're eliminating tv portion of cable & going with YouTube TV, Netflix etc & digital antenna. Spectrum still wants $80/mnth for internet connection. Would love to eliminate them altogether. Suggestions? null

Yes you do need internet and this router is geared for you plugging in your internet provider in to it.

You don’t need a cable provider but you definitely need Internet. So if you don’t want spectrum, you can go with another internet provider. But yes, you will need Internet for this product to work

Still need your internet for the streaming services. We have spectrum and are very happy with it. 100mbs for $50. Call them for any specials.

To have internet, you will "always" need an internet provider. That's an expensive internet only price. Unless that includes TV and or phone service.

You need an internet connection unless you have unlimited on your phone and you can use it as your streaming/ wi to. It would be difficult to keep operational in this manner
