Yes it does! The beacons are like mini routers, they work independent of the Base, .Meaning they carry their on load and if you ask the guys at Best Buy they can explain the HUGE difference between this new system and an extender which I tried first. When I went in and told them my problem of no coverage and slow everything with fast Internet service, they explained to me how both work. Use their financing and buy it, we are so happy we did, expensive but now our expensive phones and laptops WORK and tv streaming on 5 TVs, etc.
I would recommend:
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The system is a multichannel so when you add a component it shows you a channel with the strongest signal .. never a problem
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have 3 levels in the house with the Frontier provided router in the basement, the Eero is on the main floor connected to a Netgear switch. The base station is on the main floor & the extenders are on the 3 floor. Works well across both floors with 10 -12 devices. also strong signal in the back yard. 100 up 120 down. Just remember you'll still have your existing wifi network for backup and you'll need to reset your mobile and connected devices to the Eero once you turn it on. Sonos may be alittle challenged if your ethernet connected through a switch or router, & your tablet or mobile device is on the Eero. You just have to reset you wifi on the tablet or mobile to the original wifi you set up for the Sonos so the Sonos app will work with the devices. The Eero mobile app is very easy to set up and use. Enjoy the speed.....
