No. I have an android HTC with family mobile and the app works great. You do not need an iphone.

You need a device with both cellular and internet capabilities. You just have to download the app. Actually very easy to set up.

No Iphone needed. Works well. Very happy with my purchase.

Not necessary. An Android phone is an option. And they have an offline method as well. The app is very very easy to use and setup!
