The 3 eeros are all full routers with 2 ethernet ports and you can configure one to the router. But the model is one router which will connect tot he internet connection and the others are just WiFI satellites (no ethernet ports)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The main difference is the number of Ethernet ports available. The beacons D.O. not have additional ports.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You have to hardwire the eero pros where as beacons just plug into an outlet. If you have Ethernet run where you want to place the eeros I would go that route otherwise use the beacons. I have an eero and two beacons and have great performance but not sure if it could be marginally better if beacons were replaced with eero pros. I didn’t have Ethernet throughout the house and didn’t want to go through the hassle of installing it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The beacons are just range extenders where the Eero base also adds in network ports. I opted for the Eero + 2 beacons for my 3800 sq ft, 2 story home and couldn't be happier. Setup was ridiculously easy and performance has been great in the first month. No more dead zones or weak signals in some areas of the property. The advantage to the 3 Eero system would be the ports if you need them.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There are likely some range differences due to the larger physical device, but I don't have those numbers in front of me. Functionally there are a few major differences: Full sized EERO base stations have two wired ports on them. Beacons don't have any wired ports on them. So if you want to connect devices with a cable (set top boxes, streaming devices or a distant desktop computer) you'll want to get the full sized EEROs. Physically, the beacons plug into a wall and are intended to be as non-invasive visually as possible while even adding a bit of mood lighting with its built-in LED nightlight. The full sized EEROs sit on a flat surface with a power cable coming off of them or they would need to be used in conjunction with a outlet mounting bracket to have them hanging from an outlet or screwed into something.
