• No you do not need to use the phone with it. Phone is only needed for initial set up

• Heya Setty! Yes with the Meta devices, you will need a phone or a mobile device in general. This is because your headset will be connected to the Meta mobile app. You'll also need the mobile app to finish setting up your device, and your Meta account. We hope this gives you some clarity
