Is the elite strap "necessary" for people or young teens with smaller heads? In other words, without the strap will the Occulus Quest 2 be loose on smaller heads? null

I've seen in a view YouTube videos that the strap can be a little loose and that its probably the weakest link in the quest 2. Looks amazing otherwise. From what I've heard, the elite strap upgrade fixes the problem and the price could be worse. Guess they had to cut a few costs, but the quest 2 is still a great value.

the current headstrap should be able to fit most heads, and besides that, you can always buy and then see if the current headstrap is good enough before buying the elite strap, at the same time, the elite strap is for everyone and its super confortable so buying is anyway is a good invesment

I'd say yes, mainly because it fits better and adjusts very quickly.

I don’t know 100% for sure, but it’s be a pretty big oversight if the regular strap didn’t adjust to kid sizes.
