We got the Oculus quest 2 Elite strap as a bundle when we bought out quest and I have to say that it’s the best thing in the world. It is very very comfortable and you are able to adjust it to the size of year head. It is very easy to instal and very easy to use. I know there are other straps out there which I haven’t tried yet but so far we are loving this strap. I do have to say though that it does fit a tiny big on my 9 year old daughters head but it depends on the way her hair is too. She has silky straight hair so that sometimes makes it hard for it not to slip down on her face. It’s always a bit of a challenge to make it fit tight enough for it not to slip down to her face.

Very comfortable and can be easily adjusted for a perfect fit but it only lasted for maybe 6 weeks and this is with light to normal usage. Cracks were noted on the arms last week and finally broke while trying to take it off to be sent for replacement. Thankfully, oculus support can be reached via chat anytime of the day and I heard that there’s now a 2 year warranty. Just make sure you have the receipt, photos, account email and oculus serial number available before you start the chat. I just sent mine back today for a replacement. Hopefully I will be getting a sturdier replacement soon. It is too much of a hassle to be chatting again to oculus support, printing return label, wrapping, mailing to UPS and waiting for that replacement to come. For now, I’m stuck with the original strap. I would not recommend this product until the issue of side straps breaking is resolved.

Pros:

-Tighter Headset
Cons:
-Breaking
-Price
Like many others have noted, the strap broke for me as well. I purchased this strap a year and a month ago for some use with RE4VR, and probably only used the Quest 2 for about 20 hours max from that time to now. Upon attempting to boot up some BoneLab (A very fun game, I might add), I noticed a large crack in the strap.
For an accessory that is $60, you'd expect it to hold up for more than 20 some hours, but unfortunately that isn't the case.
That isn't to say Meta isn't planning on sending a new one out to me, but for the money, you shouldn't have to go through this hassle.
This being noted, the Elite Strap for comfort solely alone is worth it to most. For me, I have noticed a difference in comfort, but not enough to justify purchasing another. For others, I have heard many say this is a MUST have for comfortability. Just know that if you are in that boat, you may have to replace it within a year.

An absolute must have for the Oculus Quest 2. So much better than the stock head strap. The click dial on the back really helps get a correct fit for various head sizes. Being able to get a snug fit reduces the forehead and cheek strain. It's about 50$ but so very worth it.

This is literally a must have for comfort. I can't begin to tell you how soothing it feels compared to the included elastic strap the Oculus Quest 2 comes with. Installing it, and using it is a piece of cake.
Here's the bad, the plastic side rail suddenly snapped even though it's only been lightly used. To answer your concerns, No, I didn't drop it, no I wasn't rough with it, yes I installed it properly, and place it on my head properly (Very loose putting on and taking off, only tightening after it's on my head. This is a known issue, and I've reached out to Oculus asking for a replacement. For my head size and shape, my Oculus Quest 2 is unplayable without it. Hopefully the issue is resolved and for $50, it needs to be more durable.

I love this headstrap. Actually, I've loved how all 3 have fit so far. Far superior to the cloth strap that came with the Quest 2. They have proven to be SOOOOO fragile though. Just putting on and taking off (moving gently by the Quest temple arms) is enough to cause cracks to appear quickly (as in within 3-4 uses).
Many thanks to BB for swapping them out no questions asked, I suppose I appreciate Facebook for extending the warranty to 2 years, but this product should NEVER have made it to market with such poor quality control. I'm not looking forward to the day my BB warranty runs out and I need to wait for FB to send me a new one every few uses.
Again, it's a shame because the fit is FAR superior to the included head strap.

This will be a progress review. First off let me say, what a difference this makes compared to the cloth one that comes with the headset. It’s almost night and day.
Pros:
1. Comfort,
2. ease of use,
3. installation easy,
4. fits in Oculus Case without a hitch.
5. 2 year warranty is a must have, get it! Remember, Facebook has extended their manufacture warranty on it as well. That means your head strap is covered for 4 years in all actuality.
6. No pressure on face like the cloth design.
Cons:
1. I wish I could have gotten the one with the battery but I can’t find any stock.
2. People say it breaks easily, so I will update this review with progress reports. This is day two of ownership so hopefully I have the strap that has been fixed per Facebook
Tip: Be sure to snap them puppies on real nice and tight. You do not want your headset falling to the ground for sure a minor mistake.
A:I've seen in a view YouTube videos that the strap can be a little loose and that its probably the weakest link in the quest 2. Looks amazing otherwise. From what I've heard, the elite strap upgrade fixes the problem and the price could be worse. Guess they had to cut a few costs, but the quest 2 is still a great value.
A:The Quest 2 does the best job in quality of the image for TV and movies. The discontinue Go is cheaper (if you can still find them), but the quality is noticeably less. If you buy the Quest 2, do not buy the Elite strap - - it costs another $50 and makes it truly uncomfortable to watch TV and movies while leaning back or lying down as the tightening device will dig into the back of your head.
A:The headset comes with a spacer you can add if necessary if you wear glasses. However, unless you have particularly large glasses, you probably won't need the spacer. I wear glasses and don't need it at all.
A:It’s still a problem; I would buy the warranty with Best Buy but oculus does have a warranty for them but if your item doesn’t have a serial number, you’re screwed basically
