It’s still a problem; I would buy the warranty with Best Buy but oculus does have a warranty for them but if your item doesn’t have a serial number, you’re screwed basically

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, mine cracked after only 4 months of minimal use. In this case, I think a warranty is well worth it. I have looked on oculus's support page but it looks like they leave out the elite strap as a selectable item on purpose.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.(December 2021) I have had two Elite straps (one with the battery and one without). Even with careful use, both broke within 4-6 months. I requested a refund for the one I got from Oculus and, 5 months later, nothing is resolved. For the one from Best Buy, I was smart enough to purchase the extended warranty and the return was easy. But I will never purchase an Oculus Elite Strap again. Is it comfortable? YES, very comfy!! . . . until it inevitably breaks. I cannot recommend that you purchase this item.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes! They do break easily! I would advise getting the extended warranty. I was very gentle using my headset and strap and it broke just sitting out on its own. That didnt even make it 3 months!
