Fortunately, no you do not need a Facebook account to use the Meta Quest 2 any longer! All you need is a free Meta account. Luckily Meta listened to its users, and removed the Facebook account requirement earlier this year! Happy gaming! :)

Hi pinkslingshot! A Facebook account is no longer required to login onto the Quest platform, you will only need to create a Meta account to store your Oculus information! Hope that helps.
