VR in the past and even during Quest 2 initial release wasn't much of the gaming trend (very few if any headsets was stand alone besides Quest series before Quest 2) and expensive to afford. Quest 2, with its recent and affordable competition changed that "nobody cares abput VR/AR" trend and upcomijg Quest 3 is ripe for the scalpers and campers to buy out in bulk to be resold on the streets for tripled value. I hope Best Buy and Meta will be setting up some sort of control for such disingenuous buyers.

Please try again later.Scalpers and bots arent really a threat when it comes to VR. i was scared about the same thing, but if you look into VR's past, its been surprisingly easy to get VR headsets most times. The only exception was 2020 due to covid, but even then it was easy. As long as you pre order relatively soon after launch, you will get one. I am planning to but a 512gb model and elite battery strap ASAP when it launches, but some people are so confident that they are waiting until october to buy one, and theyre just going to walk into a store and pick one up. No need to worry!
