• requires jut an email for registration. gmail is free and works

• Yes. After upgrading from the Quest 2 to the Quest 3 I can confirm the quest 3 unfortunately does require all the similar account requirements the Quest 2 had (Facebook account at minimum). That account is where your game purchases, setting preferences, etc. will be stored.
