I had about a month left on my subscription, installed on Windows PCs. I bought a new iMac and Office was $20 off. The new subscription added on to the time I had remaining. And yes, mixed Windows and Mac devices now, no problem.

It was like nothing happened. Just make sure the apps are installed and then use the log in information when it prompts you to do so.

When you want to install Office 365 Home on a new device you won't need to use the activation key again. You will simply log into your Microsoft account that has the Office 365 subscription on it. then follow the steps in our help page here: https://aka.ms/AA4rq32.
