• Yes and Yes. If your projector has HDMI input and speakers you can plug this directly into to projector and cast sound and pictures to it.

• Yes, I have used this while connected to overhead projector. Just need HDMI and a USB port to power it up. It will feed audio to project output. As long as your projector has a speaker or is connected to audio equipment it will work.
