I called the MS number left by the BestBuy person... and was told the USB is *not* replaceable. So I have a completely worthless keyboard and mouse.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hello, Unfortunately, these devices are paired with their USB dongle at the factory by the third-party that creates these devices. My company has a couple that have recently been lost or broken and we've spoken with Microsoft directly and they've stated that there's nothing that you can do but buy a new matching keyboard and mouse set.
