“Anyone know an effective fix for a sticky button? My brand new controller (model FST-00001 Lot 2045) has an A button that sticks terribly. It did improve a bit by rubbing a damp alcohol wipe around the button, but it's not gone. No stock to exchange it.”

If it's within the first year of purchase it should be under warranty. Try reaching out to Microsoft.
