Buy it from Best Buy, get 2 year protection plan, broken or not, bring back before the 2 years is up and get another one. Just buy the plan again when you get the replacement.

I can tell you that my elite 2 controller broke after 2 months. I have also had a lot of issues with the button mapping. For example if I map the trigger to a button like a and I hold down a it will not continuously spam a you have to keep pressing it but if I hold down the trigger it spams. They spent absolutely no time testing this product updating this product or fixing the broken features from the elite one. A Microsoft ambassadore admitted that they know the elite 2 has lifespan problems.

The point of the controller isn’t to be stronger than the reg black one, this one has paddles and changeable features, it is built better and has grips and full customizable components
