I think the new version is quieter. It is worth the upgrade.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. They are! My coworkers haven’t said a thing about my “aggressive typing” since I’ve switched to this one :D
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The keys of this keyboard are quiet and do not require much finger pressure to type in. I also have (and still in use) a 15 years old Microsoft Natural Keyboard which keys are rather noisy but I do not complain because I am so used to it that I cannot type on any keyboard that do not have ergonomic shape. I tested this model (LMX 00001), it works on Windows 10, it feels comfortable and for the price paid $29.99 (on special), I think I made the right decision.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had a "previous version" the "Ergonomic 4000". If that is what you are talking about this one is much more quiet and the alphabet keys have a nice feel to them. Other keys, "backspace" and "enter" are a wee bit smaller. That which was "F.Lock" on the 4000 is an "extra" delete key on this one and I hit that when I don't want to. But, that said, it is a nice keyboard for the money.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I’ve also used the previous ps/2 version of this keyboard and can relate to your (and your coworkers’) complaints regarding the noisy keys. In my use, I’ve found typing on this version to be MUCH quieter than the old one. It’s not completely silent typing though — but a pleasant 60% quieter than the previous version (IMO).
