You get a product key at time of purchase with instructions to install it yourself. Very easy!

You get a card with a Key Code on it. You just enter it in when you start up the program (such as Word or Excel). If you don't have those programs already installed on your computer, you just go to the windows website and download them. They make it fairly easy.

We downloaded our own but you get a free appointment for set up with geek squad when you purchase a computer. They are great and very knowledgeable... They can help you get set up. Even if the service is not free any more, it is worth the money. Ask them also about webroot security
