• A:Answer There are two type c monitor connectors. Best Buy sells the type C to hdmi adapter. The ones I purchased with the dock were about $25 each. You can also get Type C to HDMI cables.

• A:Answer Yes, the surface dock and the surface dock 2 are both compatible with the surface book 3. The surface dock doesn't have any USB-C ports and the surface dock 2 doesn't have any hdmi ports. I recommend figuring out which ports you want before getting. I have both and I are going with surface dock 2 and an additional dock with hdmi. It is a bit annoying.
