• No batteries. It magnetically connects to the Surface Go (or Go-2). It literally could not be easier to attach.

• Connects with magnets, the connection isn’t flimsy. It does not require batteries it runs off the Surface.

• It just clicks on with the Surface bn tablet. It doesn't need batteries to my knowledge. I just attached it to the tablet. It didn't come with any or a charger

• Surface Go Type Cover connects magnetically to the bottom of your Surface Go.
