Why do the specs show no back-lit keyboard? null

Keyboard is most definitely backlit. It's a soft white lighting, and easy to turn on/off with the dedicated function key. The font color/key color is a bit "soft" in terms of contrast, so the lighting is really helpful if the room isn't well-lit. Unless you're looking for RGB, the backlighting is a great implementation.

The keyboard is back-lit and is 3 levels of brightness.

I don't know, but it does have a backlit keyboard. White, 1 zone, 3 brightness levels.
