“Why does the pen click at the top?”

• You can program the clicks to open apps. On my pen, 1 click opens Microsoft note and 2 clicks opens ink work space.

• It's clicks at the top to open apps of your choosing for easier access to say one note or sticky notes for example.

• The top button of Surface Pen has a few different uses. You can press it once to open Windows Ink, press and hold it to open Sticky Notes, and double click it to open Screen Sketch. • It launches the windows ink menu, where you have quick access to all the apps that supports the surface pen. It also can be remapped to launch a program, etc.
