• While all Microsoft Surface models include built-in WiFi capabilities, they do not feature 3G/4G connectivity.

• You're better off buying something like "Clear" hotspot that will work with multiple devices like your phone, computer, tablets, and surface vs. having to buy a service plan / device. This way it also lets you upgrade the connection (eg 3g to 4g/lte) when technology changes. When it's built into the device it becomes obsolete that much quicker.
