“Does the Windows 10 OS/Home have integrated word processing software or is separate software like MS Home and Student necessary? Sorry to be such a 'Luddite' but I have never purchased a computer without tech advise. Thanks.”

Windows 10 does come with Office so word and one note are included among other programs.
