• If your computer hardware is up to the specs and you do a fresh install. I would use the free tool from Microsoft to see if your hardware is strong enough to run Windows 10 and if it is, go buy a copy and you will be installing the same day, I was.

• With a fresh install, some of the programs may have issues in Windows 10. I would do a fresh install and then install the programs needed, followed by coping in the data files (other files not programs to be reinstalled pictures, email, etc) back into new OS.

• You need to make sure you can get the drivers for your motherboard that work with Windows 10. You should check the website of the motherboard maker or contact the computer manufacturer if its a laptop eg. Dell, HP.
