Honestly, if your not an ultimate member already I would stock up on the original gold membership and then upgrade to ultimate when they offer the "$1" promotion. It upgrades all of your remaining months to ultimate (up to 18 months). I did this a year ago and still haven't ran out of my ultimate membership.
