• The Xbox GamePass Ultimate game card is what will need for XBox Series X. However, Microsoft is running a promotion currently as of Dec 1 for a limited time for which they will upgrade your Gold membership and the remaining months on it for a $1. Therefore if you haven’t already upgraded to Ultimate you are better off loading up the months with Gold Games Pass and then upgrading for a $1. It’s cheaper.
