Toooootally agree and in truth this would cut down on scalping a lot. People who have spent $2-$3k at Best Buy in a year under one account are typically not gonna be buying these things to scalp them. Super disappointed in Best Buy for not coming up with a better system than making us just hit refresh all day every day to compete with the bots and scalpers.

It is almost February still "OUT OF STOCK". What is happening Bet Buy? I'm an Elite Plus member and still can't get the new Xbox.

I agree as well. Or give us the option to be put on a list for the next shipments. I've still been looking for one and I'm sure us elite members wouldn't mind being on a list if we knew we were getting one soon.

I definitely agree as well... I build gaming rigs for my fellow gamers as a hobby and have spent thousands of dollars through Best Buy. I've been an Elite Member for about 4 years. As much as I and other Elite members spend you would think that Best Buy would show us some thanks and gratitude. I could easily go through Amazon... Also... I refer my gamer friends to Best Buy all of the time! I have been trying to purchase a Series X AND a PS5 ever since the first day that preorders were SUPOSEDLY going to be available. I have been trying everyday since then. It is now almost mid Dec. and I have yet been able to get one. I try at least 20 times a day, every day and every time I try I am met with a SOLD OUT icon. No explanation as to when either console will be available is given... Not even an apology. I know that these consoles are insanely popular and that getting one in the hands of everyone who wants one is impossible. That's not the issue... the issue is that these extremely rich entrepreneurs are allowed to buy as many of them as they want by use of "bots" and exploit the shortage that they caused. They are manipulating the market and the last I checked, "manipulating the market" is illegal.

I agree in theory. The problem is the person that has a bot and is buying 60 of these during pre-order is going to become an elite member. One problem to solve that could be - 1 max per elite member account and then maybe we could get actually get one.

Sadly, Best Buy does not care about their customers.  If they did, they wouldn't have changed their points system so much.  It used to be: buy something and get points. Then it went to different scales on how much you buy in a year.  Well, they must have lost money on that, because it's gone as well.  I think you had to spend $3500 in a year to get Elite status.  I doubled that amount several years in a row, and enjoyed my benefits.  Now, I really have no reason to shop at Best Buy.  They no longer offer any incentive for me to shop them instead of Amazon, or another retailer.
