Xbox Stereo Headset offers the same great audio features as Xbox Wireless Headset, however it is not wireless and can be connected directly to your Xbox controller's 3.5mm stereo headset jack.

Please try again later.If you are plugging the headset directly into your PC and your PC has two connector ports (One green and one Pink) then yes you would be sacrificing one or the other....But if your connecting to your controller then you are good, a quick youtube search will help you out in terms of troubleshooting for controller use.
