“I'm a parent and if I give one of these to my kid to roam the neighborhood can I communicate with them from inside my house clearly? They generally stay within 200 yards of the house. Thanks”

Yes you can these have a 35 mile range and you can communicate clearly with them I actually use them for the same reason

However, with the radio in question you should be good for the range requested. If not, we would suggest our T290VP4 which is a bit more powerful and will help extend the range in the scenario in question.
