• A:Answer This camera has an 8 megapixel sensor. It can be set to record files that are up to 30 megapixels in size, but there is no more detail there than is in the 8 megapixel file size. The only advantage of the larger files would be allowing confusing advertisements.

• A:Answer According to the manual, the camera can be set to record date and time stamp on videos. It is not clear whether that would work when taking still photos as well. Based on the wording of the manual, I would guess not.
