• A:Answer Yes, it lights up only when connected to power source and the phone. Disconnecting at either end and lights will turn off.

• A:Answer USB probably wouldn't even work over 300 inches, and certainly wouldn't work over a span of 300 feet. The cord is three feet long.

• A:Answer Hello, If the cable stops "lighting" up, the cable will continue to charge your phone (or whatever device you have hooked up). No, it's not an indication that the cable is going to fail. The cable continues to charge (just like all cables on the market).
