It protects the edges . It is open for the screen / screen protector if you choose to purchase one

It doesn't cover the screen but I don't think you'll need it. I used another brand that has a screen protector and it reduces the screen accuracy. This product can protect your watch in daily activities.

It only covers the edges of the watch, if you were to get this i would also recommend the screen cover.
