• It comes with different material types. If having metal allergy, there are other options as well like Nylon / Fluoroelastomer.

• I purchased this band a few weeks ago. It is now a go to band for me. It seems to be holding up well. To answer your question, the buckle is plastic and the small strap to secure the band is nylon. Hope this helps.
