You have to change to antenna on tv and let the tv tuner search for channels.

I hooked it up to a Sony 4 k android tv and went into the connection screen and it took 15 minutes and located all the available channels

I just change my input to live tv and it worked.

Make sure that the antenna is in a window to start. Set your tv input tv NOT cable. Look for the scan for channels option and it will scan the airwaves.

You would need to make sure that you have your TV on the correct setting not a channel. Most TV's feature a source option on the remote that allows you to select between settings like hdmi1, hdmi2, antenna, tv, etc. You would need to make sure that the correct source was selected in order for your antenna to work.
