Yes, if the armoire doesn't have in it any electronic devices or TVs or any metallic shields inside. If there is only plain wood of the armoire (and a few screws) between the antenna and the windows it should be ok.

I imagine it depends on your room and where in the house it will be located, but mine is hidden behind my TV and it works great.

Yes ours is located inside the closet in our MBR. You just need to orient it in the direction where you get the best reception and near an exterior wall or window preferably.

I experimented with a few different placements before settling on where I have it now. Each time you move the antenna, have the tv search for channels.
