No. No more cable box. I cut the cord and now save $150 a month. I only have WiFi at home. You need to have the old style threaded cable connector on the back of your TV for this antenna to work. The major network channels come in as clear as cable if not better. There is a 3 second delay when changing channels as the tuner has to lock onto the station.

No. I get 19 channels with the antenna alone.

This Antenna plugs right into the TV's Coaxial Cable connection. If you have a smart TV, you will just have to scan for channels after installing. NO, you don't need to have a cable box for this.
